Matty is a cross-industry strategist who loves technology and figuring out how things work to better advise his clients. He doesn't stick to a vertical; he goes diagonal, believing the best fix for a problem is probably already solved in another industry and just needs to be adapted to yours.

His analytical mind and experience in construction, education, healthcare, and I.T., plus 15+ years of scaling technology-driven organizations, including 6 as Director of Operations, make him particularly well-suited to finding solutions that drive client success. Since graduating from Clemson University, he's grown from Software Engineer roles to Operations and Advisory, having developed and overseen multiple simultaneous projects for clients, run the technical operations side of applications and SaaS platforms supporting 50,000+ concurrent users, maintaining compliance with FERPA and HIPAA standards, and SOC 2 requirements, and providing insights for business operations.

At Weft & Whetstone, he's continued this commitment to helping clients through quality engagements, being directly involved whether operating as Advisor, Fractional COO, Head of Strategy, Technical Lead, or working directly on the codebase. He doesn't just lead the work; he steps in and does it.

Beyond client work
